Pilrig House really is a unique place to stay – not only for its wonderful parkland location, but also for its history, its connection to the family of Robert Louis Stevenson, and its proximity to all the main attractions that the beautiful city of Edinburgh has to offer.

People describe a feeling of total warmth and strange timelessness when they stay here. As owners, we love Pilrig House, and feel it has a truly magical atmosphere. To date, and to our delight, all our guests have agreed. From around the world, many of our initial guests are coming back for the fifth year in succession since we started up, which is extremely rewarding.
